3. Prepare plants for sampling

GSL and their outsourced partners, accepts DNA, leaf, or seed samples for genotyping. All samples undergo quality checks and so strict adherence to the provided guidelines ensures the timely receipt of quality samples.

3.1 Tag the plants for sampling

  1. After GSL confirms your request, they will provide you with printed barcodes for tagging - referred to as GSL barcode tags.

  2. Tag your plants using one of two methods.

Note: To ensure quality and correctness, clients are required to tag their plants themselves.

3.2 Schedule a sampling date

GSL will contact you for an initial site visit to familiarize themselves with your field layout. The sampling date must be scheduled in advance so that you or your staff can accompany GSL during the sampling process.

After tagging your plants, you may now begin preparing your samples for submission to either GSL or outsourced service partners.
