Zinc by portable X-Ray Fluorescence

The X-Ray fluorescence (XRF) is a rapid non-destructive technique that can be used to determine the Zn mineral composition in rice grain samples. The technique is based on the excitation of the atoms in the sample emitting fluorescence radiation wherein the intensity can be used in determining its elemental composition.

Note: To determine Zn by XRF, the sample weight required is at least 50 g of grain sample.
