Carbon-13 and nitrogen-15 analysis by IRMS (temporarily unavailable)

The analysis of stable isotopes C-13 and N-15 in soil samples uses flash elemental analyzer coupled to isotope ratio mass spectrometer (EA-IRMS).  The technique involves the coupling of flash combustion with a gas chromatograph and isotope ratio mass spectrometer. The following analytes have been determined by this method: 15N atom % and 13C delta per mill.
